The Adventures of the Traveling Boots

Where will the boots travel to next? With a spin of the wheel and a click of their heels they're on their way to historic USA.

The Adventures of the Traveling Boots by Kimberly Abbott Hill is a wonderful, educational book that will have kids reading over and over again. Written in rhyme, Kimberly has taken children on a historical adventure throughout the United States.

The journey starts at the Liberty Bell for an important lesson then continues on to Yellowstone National Park, New York's Statue of Liberty, Washington D.C. and finally to New Orleans. The traveling boots make learning fun and kids are sure to remember all the great locations and interesting facts.

In addition to being educational, the traveling boots also has bright, bold illustrations done by 12 year old, Madeline Norton. Kids are sure to relate to Madelines sweet illustrations that bring the boots to life.

The Adventures of the Travel Boots is the first in a soon-to-be series. Check out their web site at; http://www.thetravelingboots.com/ for more fun ideas and activities.

The Adventures of the Traveling Boots is avaialbe for sale on Amazon.com and at the web site.

Stop by tomorrow when I'll have my interview with the author of "The Traveling Boots" Kimberly Abbott Hill.

Get you kids involved in a safe, unique way to learn and have fun - Ask a question and lure the feline-thieves closer to being caught.

Check it out...
~~~~~~~
Hey Kids,
See this funny-feline? He’s number one on our capture list – Loco Lou.
Oh, he may look cute and cuddly, but that’s his very clever disguise. He left his comfy home and endless supply of cat treats to join the feline-thieves. Why? 'Cause he was tired of the constant noise, interrupting his cat-naps.
Loco Lou or Louie to his family, only wanted to lounge around eating kitty kibble all day. However, Amy and Josh (the family kids) would awaken him to play, then start to ask him questions like…”Louie, why are you so lazy?” Or…”Louie why won’t you chase your jingle ball?”
It was more than Louie could take. So he waited until Josh accidentally left the kitchen door open and he escaped. Now he’s one of THEM - determined to put a stop to all your questions.
Let’s catch Loco Lou and the rest of these Feline-Thieves. Remember to leave a question in the comment section. That’s the only way we’ll lure Louie over here.
American Hereos - Learning Lyrics
With catchy, up-tempo beats and learning-lyrics, American Heroes #3 by Jonathan Sprout is a must have for any family.
This CD makes learning American History fun, plus how many history lessons can you dance to? I found myself bopping to the beat and the chorus lyrics sticking with me long after the music stopped – my favourite is Peanut Man it’s silly, fun, and true!
I had a blast reviewing this CD and you’re kids are sure to love it too. Jonathan Sprout and his crew of talented muscians and singers brings history to life in a whole new way.
Here’s what you have to look forward to on American Heroes #3;
Chocolate King – Milton Hershey
Come Back Home – John Muir
Doctor – Elizabeth Blackwell
He Will Not Give Up – Jonas Salk
The Least I Could Do – Jane Addams
Peanut Man – George Washington Carver
Can’t Stop Running – Wilma Rudolph
What He Wrote – Thomas Jefferson
Pocahontas
Si Se Puede! – Cesar Chavez
Good For Me – “Heroes”
Compassion - Instrumental
In addition to great educational songs, this CD also comes with the lyrics and a quote from each person of history the song is written about. This is a wonderful learning tool for any age of child – start them young. They’ll love the rockin’ tunes and be learning all at the same time. And unlike other kids’s CD’s this one won’t drive you crazy.
