Here's what you'll need;
- Empty plastic bear-shaped honey bottle - wash and dried
- Glue
- Stickers
- Black paint
- Black Raffia String
- Orange ribbon
- Decorative paper
- Candy to fill such as candy corn
Take the empty bear-shaped honey container wash and dry thoroughly. Peel off the product stickers.
Remove lid and paint with black acrylic paint. After it's dry glue on silver craft stars and add the orange ribbon. Set aside.
Cut decorative paper to fit front and back of container (where product stickers were). Glue and add stickers to embellish.
Cut ribbon to make a cape and glue around bear, leaving an opening at the front - you can add some extra ribbon of a different type of colour to add around the cape as well. Glue into place.
Take the black raffia string, measure around the lid and add about 1.5 inches, cut and unravel. Hot glue this around the base of the lid scrunching as you go - this will leave room to unfurl the raffia. (May need adult supervision depending on the age of the children).
Once dry, unravel the raffia fully to make the brim of the "witches" hat.
Fill with candy, screw the lid back on and enjoy or give as a gift.
Note: This same idea could be used for any occasion. Experiment and see what you can come up with.
Be sure to check back as I will be doing craft ideas for the next two weeks. Also if you and/or your kids try this, please, send me a pic, I'd love to post them =)
